Camper was born in 1975 based on the solid support of a century old tradition. Its concept was to reflect a new lifestyle, a new way of thinking based on freedom but also encompassing creativity and comfort.
What if you mixed art-direction and footwear? Yes, this isn't a new way of doing things in the fashion world, but Camper really knows how to tap into creativity in order to elevate the brand's identity through fictional places and characters that embody their different shoe offerings. The Spring/Summer 2016 collection is inspired by Mallorca, the Mediterranean island that Camper calls home.
The vision comes from art director Romain Kremer with the help of a strong creative team to back him up. The idea of this sunny paradise highlights three hot spots: Deia, Es Trenc, and Arelluf. They've continued the tradition of pairing each pair of shoes with a character that represents its unique vibe. This time, the diverse characters and shoes embody the feeling of an island known for both its stunning nature and raucous nightlife. With an amazing interactive website to let you dive deep into the world of Camper's SS16 campaign, Mallorca isn’t just a destination, it’s a state of mind.
