In Technicolor: Tumblr Launches Trendy Fashion Line
Tumblr (founded in 2007 by David Karp) is perhaps one of the most popular microblogging platforms out there; allowing its user to short-from blog and post all sorts of multimedia - from Supernatural Gifs to crappy poetry, selfies of girls with rainbow hair, Nutella, pugs, and all sorts of other 'art forms' that help you 'spend' your time rather unproductively. Regardless, it's one of the funnest forms of escapism the internet has ever provided.
As of late, perhaps due to the innovation that is taking over the fashion world by a storm, it was decided that Tumblr (most probably due to its immense popularity) should get a fashion line. Yup, that's what's up.
The fashion line includes pants, tanks, jackets, hats, handbags, and other accessories: each printed garment is supposed to emulate a Tumblr post.
10 active artists from the website have given their two cents as well as a surge of creative power in order to put together the clothing line that was officially introduced to the wide public during the New York fashion Week.
Somewhat experimental and slightly out there, the Tumblr fashion line just might find itself on the way to your local Urban Outfitters store.
My personal intake on this? Well... It could work, I guess... Let's be honest: we've seen weirder. In case you want to lay your hands on one or two of these garbs - Print All Over Me is your go to place.
