Underground Canadian Electronic Acts To Watch Out For In 2017

Filed under:
On Our Radar

We've discovered many electronic acts throughout the years. Some have thrived, some have vanished into thin air.

We are continuously impressed by the amount of talent you can find sifting through all of these submissions, or stumbling on something you had never heard of before. The pro (and con) of the electronic genre is that it  still remains to be one of the most sought-after genre, because of how accessible it is nowadays. Anyone (and their mothers) can pick up producing, but not everyone is able to stand out amongst a crowd of millions of others wanna-producers to really thrive and make a stamp on the scene.

Canada holds some of the most avant-garde producers (to this day), and we couldn't be more proud to come from a Country that inspires such talent. We tend to get a lot of influences coming from all directions: Europe, North and South America, as well as Eastern countries like Japan. With this, you get an amalgalm of styles that turn into a home-cooked meal that you would recognize just by the intro of a track (most of the time).

It wasn't easy, but we compiled a list of electronic producers, acts, and artists that we think will be on our radar for all of 2017. We either featured them on our THEFIX column, or Podcast series in the past. From bedroom producers, to established DJs, we think you will like what you hear.

None of them need any introduction other than hitting play on their latest release. Let the music speak for itself.

We spoke to Grace Lillash , an Ohio teen who's work is bringing the 90's back in a big way. Trying to describe her images is useless, and can only be defined by a feeling - a nostalgia you could only experience while flipping through the pages of vintage magazines or old photos of friends. Her old...

Conflict of Ego is a philosophy with a brand – not the other way around.
