PREMIERE | Canadian Indie Pop Band Only Yours Release Self-Titled EP

On Our Radar

Only Yours is a Toronto-based indie-pop band led by songwriter Sostomi.

They've been teasing their upcoming EP titled Only Yours all summer long and now they are just about ready to unleash it all onto the interwebs. Their tracks "Different" and "Edge Of My Dreams" are spectacular tracks to introduce the band onto the scene, filled with catchy hooks and led by synth-filled melodies that will keep you wanting more.

A familiar sound that is delivered quite meticulously throughout their EP, vintage synths and filled with textures that push and pull against your emotions and feelings of nostalgia. The Canadian quartet decided to give us the excusive on premiering their entire self-titled EP before it is officially released.

The band's debut EP captures them in the midst of exploring the possibilities of their sound, working with Taheny on blending analog tones with modern production techniques to craft a release that acknowledges a wide range of the band's influences while remaining centered by a studied approach to pop music that is the essence of the Only Yours EP.

Diggin through old-school music and continuously being inspired by modern day tricks, Sostomi's writing is highly influenced by both the old and the new.

I'm hugely excited by pop music. I grew up digging through record crates and listening to older music, but when you look at more modern stuff or things like Tears for Fears and The Cure a lot of the time it works the same way.

Only Yours' self-titled EP will be released on October 14th via Pirates Blend. It is available for pre-order here. Listen to it fully for the first time right here:
