Jägermeister Redesigned Their Bottle Which Means It's Time To Put Some In Everything
Have you ever caught yourself purposely looking forward to order a drink that has Jägermeister in it? I haven't.
I've obviously had my fair share of Jager-bombs and Jager shots given to me by friends around 2:00am at the club completely plastered. Yet the other day, I looked up drink recipes to make and realized how next level it actually was, as in: did you know the bottle contained 56 ingredients???
Everyone in 2017 is celebrating some sort of new beginning, and I decided that I would challenge myself at stepping outside of my usual choices and go for more Jäger-type drinks when visiting bars and clubs from now on.
Jägermeister decided to redesign their ever-popular bottle to kickstart the new year with a bang. This is the fifth time the bottle has been redesigned over the course of the brand's over 80-year history. The newly redesigned bottle features several updates to its previous design. The intricacy of the brand’s recipe famously includes 56 ingredients, a detail that is boldly displayed on the front centre of the bottle’s label.
If you live in Montreal, there are numeral places where you can douze in some Jagermeister through drinks or food:
Das Bier - 5885 Avenue Papineau
A German themed bar featuring Jager shots, a Jagerlicious cocktail with Jägermeister, Peach Schnapps, cranberry syrup, cranberry juice and soda.
Bar Brutus - 1290 Beaubien Est
A Jägermeister poutine, how can you say no to that? They also shave $4 off the price on Tuesdays.
Moose BAWR - 1817 Rue Sainte-Catherine O
A cozy chalet pub specializing in deep-fried pub classics and Jagerbombs and J-bombs to down.

L’Gros Luxe - Multiple Branches - 150 Rue Bernard Ouest
For a classier brunch or dinner option, they offer custom cocktails. Try Jägermeister in your Caesar for an extra kick.
If you are nowhere near Montreal or the city, you can challenge yourself by heading to your local liquor store, grabbing one of these new spiffy-bottles starting at $15, and impress your squad by making one of these:
5 cl / 1.7 fl oz Jägermeister
12.5 ml elderflower cordial
Cloudy apple juice to fill
Rosemary and twist of lime to garnish
The complex flavours in this drink will really get you thinking. Maybe you'll even work out how it got its name.
2 cl / 0.75 fl oz Jägermeister
2-3 cl / 0.75-1 fl oz beer
A crowning moment: top off your Jägermeister with a beer cap and give Jägermeister two extra ingredients – malt and hops!
