WATCH | Montreal Newcomer Neko Releases High-Octane Thrill Visuals For "Baby Gucci"
Meet Neko, an emerging artist (now) based in Montreal who's about to make some buzz on the interwebs with his latest release.
Self-produced, self-taught, he moved to Montreal after dropping out of school to pursue his music career alongside other creatives, and we think it was the right move.
“I moved to Montreal to connect with other artists and have the opportunity to spread my art worldwide”
His single "Baby Gucci" is a trap-influenced track which was produced by Neko himself, showcasing his deep vocal lyrical abilities, giving the whole thing a dark and grimey vibe all throughout. Although you wouldn't expect it, he is well-known for his intensity on stage, despite the deep-rooted vibes he emits on the music. His wide-range of influences are what brings all of this together, including Metal, Alt-rock, India, Old School Hip Hop and EDM.
He got the visual treatment for his single "Baby Gucci" a fast paced and unapologetic music video, directed by Xavier Cantin-Lemieux from La maison Bald Man. Featuring a grunge look, high-paced scenes slowed down with meticulous zoom effects to really showcase the intensity of the beat all while keeping it stylish to a T.
Best described as a high-octane thrill ride, watch the video for "Baby Gucci" up above.
